5 reasons why kill Bill is post-modern

1. Kill Bill can be considered post-modern because of the amount of intertextual references, that also includes different genres, such as Japanese cinema, horror and action

2. The second is the way the film uses anime in parts of the film. This could be considered post-modern as it is not a convention that is used very frequently.

3. The fight before the main characters fight between her enemy. There is a post-modern part in which the main role has to fight a vast amount of people. This is considered to be post-modern as it is hyper-real.

4. Another post-modern part in Kill Bill is within all the violence and gore. The director attempts humour as some fights scene are over dramatic and funny.

5. The film itself shows a lot of different themes and subject matter. It displays an array of different styles. When it comes to post-modernist film, Quentin Tarantino is definitely a film maker.

High modernism also known as high modernity it is a form of modernity that is characterized by an unfaltering confidence in science and technology. high modernist movement was particularly prevalent during the Cold War, especially in the late 1950s and 1960s.

Capitalist is a person who has capital, especially extensive capital, invested in business enterprises.

Superabundance is a form of a condition of going or being beyond what is needed, desired, or appropriate.

Disconnected is a break in a connection of or in between someone or something.

Pop is an abbreviation for pop culture and modern popular culture.

Fragmentary is consist of or reduced to fragments; broken; disconnected and incomplete.

Eclectic nostalgia is a sense of nostalgia that relates to the past ideas.

Simulacra is an image or representation of someone or something.

Superficiality is a lack of thoroughness and depth of character.

Flippant is a not so serious subject, to be funny or to appear clever.

Depthless is too deep to be measured.

Fabulation is a creation of stories, particularly with elements of fantasy in it.

Pastiche is an artistic work in a style that imitates that of another work, artist, or period.

Bricolage it’s a construction or creation from a diverse range of available things.

Aleatory is depending on the throw of a dice or on chance; random.

Life Drawing Year 2 Lesson 1

These are my first drawings back to this course. I still need more improvements to find my personal style and techniques. with these drawings I have tried a variety of different techniques to see which one works the best. I have more to show for next time and hopefully if I keep trying different styles I will eventually have mine. I hope that showing these pictures that you get an understanding of different ways the human body can be interpreted.

The improvements that I want to make are the faces, hands and feet. I want to be able to do them perfect to show the expression of how the model is feeling. I will be improving on this and adding this to further pieces.
