Perspectives of Postmodernism Word Definitions


Ahistorical: not concerned with or related to history, historical development, or tradition.

Irreducible: impossible to transform into or restore to a desired or simpler condition.

Objects: something material that may be perceived by the senses.

Transparent: having the property of light without appreciable scattering so that bodies lying beyond are seen clearly.

Universal: including or covering all or a whole collectively or distributivity without limit or exception.

Definitive: serving to provide a final solution or to end a situation.

Fixed: securely placed or fastened.

Poststructuralism: a movement or theory that views the descriptive premise of structuralism as contradicted by reliance on borrowed concepts or differential terms.

Reflexively: directed or turned back on itself.
